Cryogen Free Room Temperature Bore Systems

The Cryogen Free Room Temperature Bore Systems (CFM-RT) give the customer the flexibility of a room temperature bore available in a wide range of dimensions, together with a magnetic field up to 18 Tesla. This enables the user to continue to use existing inserts, probes and experimental equipment without the need to change. Systems are available with horizontal, vertical and rotating bore options.

The base system of every CFM-RT System contains the high field superconducting magnet with HTS current leads, cryostat, cryocooler and compressor and temperature monitor unit. The cooling for the magnet and cryostat will be provided by a standard cryocooler with a base temperature of 4K. The magnet will be designed to operate safely at the guaranteed field without quenching.

The complete CFM-RT is fully tested at Cryogenic Ltd prior to shipment. No special equipment will be needed nor will previous cryogenic experience be necessary to operate the system.

Standard systems are available with 50mm and 100mm room temperature bores however we also build bespoke systems to suit specific requirements. Please contact us for more details.
